CLAC launches popular voting for the Esperanza Awards finalists

The Latin American and Caribbean Network of Fair Trade Small Producers and Workers(CLAC) has started the public voting period to choose the public’s favorite project among the 15 finalists of the Esperanza Awards 2024, a contest created to highlight organizations and initiatives in Latin America and the Caribbean that strive to incorporate the values ​​and principles of Fair Trade in their daily lives.

Through the Esperanza Awards, CLAC celebrates its 20th anniversary by disseminating experiences that inspire more organizations and people to join Fairtrade, to promote democracy, transparency, equity, and environmental protection in their activities, whether in the production or processing of food and the promotion of responsible consumption.

We invite you to learn about all these interesting experiences in the categories: 1. Organization with the best service for its members and their families, 2. Organization with the best approach to Human Rights, Inclusion, and Equity issues, 3. Organization with the best proposal for innovation and added value to the product(s), and 4. Most active extended Fair Trade community.

To support your favorite finalist, you must:

1-  Go to  PREMIOS ESPERANZA CLAC – CLAC-FAIRTRADE (clac-comerciojusto.org), where you can find the list of 15 finalists, and have access to a video and a summary of each competing initiative. Choose your favorite finalist, and CLICK on the VOTE button.

2-  The link will take you to the Premios Esperanza voting platform (https://esperanza.awardsplatform.com/entry/vote/GYVbkZkO?page=1), where you must quickly register to vote. Click on VOTE again.

Another way to participate is:

1. Create your profile on the platform https://esperanza.awardsplatform.com/entry/vote/GYVbkZkO?page=1 and click the Evaluate button at the top. This will take you to a page where you can select the finalist you wish to support by clicking on VOTE.

Each day, you can vote for only one finalist in each category. If you want to continue supporting your favorite project, you can vote once every day, while the public voting is open, until September 11th.

Remember that the winning projects for first, second, and third place per category will be defined by a jury. In this case, the process opened by CLAC is for a popular vote to choose the public’s favorite among the 15 participating finalists.
