The Latin American and Caribbean Network of Small-Scale Fair Trade Producers and Workers (CLAC) expresses its solidarity with the Fairtrade certified organizations that have been affected by the floods registered in the last days in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.

The orange producing organizations Ecocitrus and Coopersalzano, located in this region, have reported significant losses because of heavy rains.

In view of this situation, CLAC encourages its allies, the National Fairtrade Organizations (NFOs) and Fairtrade International to support these organizations and their associates through their contributions to the Climate Eventuality and Catastrophic Events Fund, which will help them to overcome these important climatic affectations.
